A new year

Well when I look back at last year, I realise what a great one it was for me personally.

I got to see The Casbah Club for the first time, Ray Davies for the first time, The Who for the 45th time; did I mention I was at Live8....front fookin row right in between Roger and Pete?

Live8 was an amazing experience, a wonderful day, got to stand next to some girl with no clothes on!!!!! And managed to keep my eyes pointed towards the stage for most of the day!

Then in December I was invited to Rachel Fullers Basement Jam, this was held at Pete Townshend studio at The Boathouse, Twickenham, what a night that was, again I was front row dead centre. Simon and Pete were within spitting distance, something that didn’t go un-noticed, especially by the stains on my shirt when I got home.

How can this year live up to last? Well it's a start on April 1st when the Who Convention I am helping to organise gets under way, it is promising to be something rather special and all profits will be going to the Teenage Cancer Trust a charity not only a favorite with The Who, but also a charity I myself am very happy to be associated with, they do a wonderful job and long may they continue.

After the Convention there is a Who tour in the pipeline, rumor has it that The Casbah Club will be supporting, if this turns out to be correct, this will be concert heaven, Simon Townshend will have his work cut out however, as he will be playing in both bands. Let’s also hope Oasis let us have our drummer back! Then the fun can begin.
